Dierre D. Taylor is an accomplished educator and STEM advocate, who currently serves as a STEM administrator for New York City Public Schools. With over a decade of experience in education, Dierre has dedicated his career to improving mathematics, science, and technology education for students but especially those with disabilities. His expertise spans curriculum development, staff training, and implementing innovative teaching strategies aligned with the Next Generation Learning Standards, amongst others.
Dierre's commitment to educational equity and culturally responsive pedagogy is evident through his various facilitation engagements, including workshops on restorative justice in science classrooms and creating welcoming learning environments. He is eager to bring his passions for education and community development to Bronx Community Board 11, which he was appointed to in 2024 by Borough President Gibson as a Council Member Marmorato nominee.
