Juanita I. Randall’s Biography

Juanita I. Randall was born and raised in the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) development called Eastchester Gardens, which is located in the northern section of Community Board 11. For nine years, she also resided in NYCHA’s Edenwald Houses.

As a teenage mother, Juanita showed resilience by obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in psychology at the College of New Rochelle, later obtaining her Master of Public Administration from the Metropolitan College of New York. She continues to be active in her community by doing back to school events and fighting against cancer.

The co-founder of the North Bronx not-for-profit, Extra Elevation Forever, the mission of which is mentoring teens (ages 13 to 19) through life’s struggles, Juanita is also the small business owner of Amethyst Rose Events, which focuses on event planning and small commodities such as candles, oils and body butters.

Juanita is currently a program director for people with developmental disabilities and has been in the human services field for 13 years. She was appointed to Community Board 11 in 2021 by Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.
