Emergency Plumbing Permits

Purpose:

To establish a pilot for the submission of emergency PRA's during the heating season.

Specifics:

In order to facilitate processing for emergency repairs to heating systems during the winter season the Department of Buildings will accept PRA's by messenger service or express overnight mail for immediate processing.

  • This method of filing will be in effect from 12/15/98 to 3/15/99.
  • Applications should be mailed to or dropped off at:
Department of Buildings
PRA Division 60 Hudson Street, 14th floor
New York, NY 10013
(Envelopes should be marked "EMERGENCY HEAT REPAIR")

Applications should include:

  • "EMERGENCY HEAT REPAIR" in the comments section.
  • A self-addressed stamped envelope.
  • A certified check or money order made payable to the New York City Department of Buildings for required fees.
