NYPD permits include:
- Parade Permit: If you would like to have a procession, parade, or race within the City of New York, you must obtain a parade permit. Permits include the formation area, route, and dismissal area.
- Sound Device Permit: If you would like to have amplified sound at your event including background music, musical performances, and speaking programs, you are required to obtain a sound permit from the local precinct where your event is taking place. There is a $45 fee for the application.
Other non-permit interaction with NYPD may include:
- Barricade Request: If you would like to borrow NYPD barricades for your event, you can put a request in with the local precinct where your event is taking place. Barricades from NYPD may not be branded. If you would like to brand the barricade then you must rent your own. Please note that NYPD barricade availability is limited and based on events citywide and are not guaranteed. After you put in a request with the local precinct, they will inform you if they can accommodate the request.
