Anthony Carrión works as a Community Engagement Specialist at the NYC Civic Engagement Commission. Before joining the CEC, Anthony worked as a Program Manager at Hunger Free America, an anti-hunger/anti-poverty non-profit organization. Additionally, as a graduate of the City College School of Architecture Anthony also worked previously as an architectural consultant and designer for various urban-planning projects, including La Marqueta Mile, NYCHA's Polo/Rangel Houses Initiative, and the Harlem African Burial Ground Memorial & Cultural Center. Anthony is a second-generation New Yorker, born and raised in Harlem to parents who immigrated from Ecuador. He believes by excavating our histories and serving others we restore the human connections that make ideas like community, society, and democracy possible.
