Daniel Botting serves in a dual role at the Civic Engagement Commission (CEC) as the Staten Island Outreach Specialist and Staten Island Participatory Budgeting Coordinator. Daniel is passionate about civic engagement and dedicated to empowering New Yorkers to engage in their democracy. Prior to his work with the CEC, Daniel served in many roles at Pace University, both in New York City and in Westchester. While at Pace University, Daniel advised incoming first-year students, taught service-learning courses in the Department of Political Science, and served with the Center for Community Action and Research (CCAR.) With the CCAR, he strived to empower students to practice active citizenship, while also working to build mutually beneficial university-community partnerships to address identified needs. He resides in Staten Island with his wife, Andrea, and their six year old son, James.
