Edwin Maxwell

Edwin B. Maxwell is the Director of Neighborhood Services for the Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) where he oversees the operations of Brooklyn's 59 community library branches. Edwin is dedicated to building stronger communities and advancing the fight for equity through the freedom of information and literacy. With nearly 20 years of experience in public libraries, Edwin prides himself in being an innovative thinker, effective agent of change, and an advocate for community-led initiatives. Edwin holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania and a MLS in Library Science from Queens College.
