As a native New Yorker and son of immigrant parents from Seoul, South Korea, Jin continuously bridges the cultural and linguistic gap to prevent misunderstandings between the Korean community and other communities of NYC. As a first-generation American, he ensures that every New Yorker, regardless of the language they speak, knows their rights, and has meaningful access to all city services. Jin speaks fluent Korean, English, and Spanish and has worked in Language Access at the Mayor's Office, provided language assistance during Elections, and utilized his language skills as an investigator for the federal government. He is also a U.S. Army veteran and holds a Master's in Public Policy and Administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Jin is a long-time resident of Manhattan Community Board 8.
