Kanika Dhar, an immigrant from Bangladesh, is an educational associate at the New York City Department of Education and graduated from Boricua College with her master’s in education. She has experience working in positions of leadership and through her positions as an educator in both Bangladesh and New York acquired the communication skills necessary to be an integral part of her community. She has experience working with neuro-divergent children and those with developmental challenges. She consistently works to share resources that support the special education community. Kanika is a driving force in bringing about more acceptance and positive change to her change utilizing her fluency in Bangla.
