Noor Muhammad has been working in the non-profit sector for over 12 years as a practitioner of community development, advocacy, communications, humanitarian assistance, case management, and learning and development. In addition, he works as a freelance translator, moderator, and interpreter of Urdu. During his career as a professional and as a volunteer activist, he has helped mobilize communities, and promoted and supported causes of inclusion and engagement. He has also played an active role in promoting the cause of language justice, as speaker of an endangered language, Wakhi, my mother tongue. Noor is also conversant in Hindi and Punjabi.
