Samuel M. Stern is a well-known activist for the Orthodox Jewish community of Williamsburg and North Brooklyn. He's serving as chairman of the United Jewish Organizations of Williamsburg and North Brooklyn's Community Advisory is working closely with officials of the city and state level and the federal representatives of the area to address the needs of the community. He served on the transition team of NYC Mayor Eric Adams, as a clergy committee member. Mr. Stern has a career in Yiddish writing. He was a staff reporter for Der Yid, the oldest Yiddish language weekly newspaper printed in Brooklyn, and is still a contributor to the newspaper. He assisted city agencies in crafting Yiddish messages appropriate for native Yiddish is an advocate for providing information for Yiddish speakers the right format and dialect.
