File a Claim for a Booting Fee Refund
Under NYC law, companies that place wheel locks (boots) on illegally parked cars in private parking lots cannot charge more than $25 to remove boots. In settlements with the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP), the private companies who contracted with B&M Electronic Diagnostic Repair Service Inc. or NY Booting LLC agreed to refund money to eligible consumers who had their vehicles booted in multiple parking lots in Brooklyn and Queens.
You may be eligible for a refund if:
- Your vehicle was booted at one of the parking lots listed below:
- Walgreens: 193-01 Northern Boulevard, Queens, NY 11358.
- New Age Market: 160-06 Northern Boulevard, Queens, NY 11358.
- CVS: 212-20 Northern Boulevard, Bayside, NY 11361.
- Dunkin’ Donuts/Carvel/Burger City: 56-02, 56-12, 56-20 Metropolitan Avenue, Ridgewood, NY 11385.
- Dayton Shopping Center: 85-15 – 88-37 Rockaway Beach Boulevard, Far Rockaway, NY 11694.
- Food Bazaar: 11110 Flatlands Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11207.
- 130-20 Farmers Boulevard, Queens, NY 11434 (parking lot for Blink Fitness/City MD). Note: Blink Fitness/City MD are not involved in this DCWP settlement.
AND
- You were charged more than $25 by B&M Electronic Diagnostic Repair Service Inc. or NY Booting to remove the boot.

Submit the completed form and any supporting documents to DCWP in ONE of the following ways:

DCWP will review claims in the order it receives them. DCWP will pay refunds until no money remains in the Settlement Fund or the submission deadline, whichever comes first. The deadline to submit a claim is March 17, 2025.
