NYC DDC Participates in Career Day at Bronx Bridges High School

On Thursday, February 26, 2020, the New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC) participated in Career Day at Bronx Bridges High School (BBHS). BBHS is comprised of students of diverse cultural, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds. For many of the students, this was their first introduction to the professional world beyond the classroom. DDC Infrastructure Division Senior Traffic Engineer, Asheque Rahman, spoke to students about a wide range of topics related to STEAM. He also spoke about his experience working for DDC, as well as providing advice on how to select a major in college, and the importance of internships, time management, work ethics, networking and volunteering.
