DOC Celebrates Lunar New Year

 Members of the Asian Jade Society are all smiles while celebrating the Year of the Snake on Feb. 5.

DOC Officers and staff continued their celebration of Lunar New Year this month by attending Mayor Eric Adams’ reception in Lower Manhattan and hosting a luncheon at the George R. Vierno Center (GRVC) on Rikers Island.

Members of the Asian Jade Society visited Surrogate’s Courthouse on Feb. 6 to celebrate the Year of the Snake with their fellow New Yorkers. The special gathering also provided government and community leaders with an opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to help with the continued success of the city. 

With an array of holiday dishes and lots of Boldest family camaraderie to go around, members of the International Law Enforcement Officers Association (ILEOA), Community Police Relations Foundation, COBA and Asian Jade Society also proudly led festivities at GRVC on Feb. 5 to help ring in the New Year.
