Rob Galindo brings 30 years of law enforcement experience to the New York City Department of Investigation (DOI), which includes conducting complex investigations in an array of crimes such as corruption, fraud, and narcotics, among others. He has been with DOI for 16 years, first as a Detective in the NYPD Detective Squad assigned to DOI, and since October 2019, as a DOI senior executive overseeing all field operations at the agency. Mr. Galindo also assists in the training of new investigators as well as senior investigators. He also oversees DOI’s Digital Forensics Unit and Technical Services Unit under Law Enforcement Technology.
Prior to joining DOI’s executive team in 2019, Mr. Galindo served in the New York City Police Department (NYPD) for 28 years, retiring as a First Grade Detective. He started his career in the New York City Housing Authority Police Department prior to the 1995 merger of the NYC Housing Authority Police and NYC Transit Police with the NYPD. His police assignments have included Community Policing Officer at PSA 6 in Harlem, the Detective Squad in the 32nd precinct in Harlem, the Organized Crime Control Bureau, and 14 years with the NYPD squad assigned to DOI.
