Lights on Afterschool - October 22, 2015

On October 22, DYCD's COMPASS and Beacon programs joined the Afterschool Alliance to launch a citywide "Lights On Afterschool" campaign. As part of the celebration, providers hosted open houses featuring a wide variety of activities, including student performances, bake-offs and band parades. COMPASS, the nation's largest afterschool system, is now in its 10th year of keeping the "lights on" for more than 97,000 young people in over 900 programs across the City. Beacon Community Centers will be celebrating 25 years of service in 2016.
