FDNY And Ghostbusters Team Up to Put a Freeze on Home Fires and Promote Fire Safety Education

Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh and FDNY officials will officially kick off two weeks of fire safety education on Thursday, March 14 at 9 a.m. at FDNY Ladder 8, 14 N Moore St, New York, NY 10013. The press conference can be viewed live on the Department’s website at www.nyc.gov/FDNY.

The FDNY and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire have partnered to install a “frozen installation” on Ladder 8, the Ghostbusters firehouse. Beginning March 14, members from the FDNY Fire Safety Education Unit, FDNY Mascots, and FDNY firefighters and EMTs will be outside the firehouse providing critical fire and life safety education.

Free CPR classes, smoke alarm installation sign up, fire safety literature and promotional items, and fire safety presentations will take place Monday to Saturday until March 23.
