The FDNY Search & Rescue Field Medicine Symposium took place April 24-27 in New York City, bringing together first responders from military, federal, state and local agencies to share their knowledge, best practices and ideas in the field of search-and-rescue field medicine.
"The FDNY Search & Rescue Field Medicine Symposium is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to bring together first responders from across the country and around the world to share knowledge, sharpen skills, and strengthen our lifesaving capabilities," FDNY Commissioner Robert S. Tucker said. "I'm proud that the FDNY, in partnership with the FDNY Foundation, continues to lead the way in advancing rescue medicine and building a stronger, safer future."
First responders from eight countries and 35 states, as well as Washington, D.C., attended the 2025 SRFM.
The annual symposium features workshops, lectures, panel discussions, hands-on skills scenarios and a vendor showcase covering current topics, medical technology updates and case studies.
The four-day conference is in partnership with the FDNY Foundation, the official nonprofit organization of the Department.
