117th FDNY Memorial Day Service

On October 9, 2024, thousands of uniformed members turned out for the 117th FDNY Memorial Day Service at the Firemen's Memorial in Manhattan. The Department honored 14 members who have died over the past year, including EMT Frederick Whiteside and Supervising Fire Marshal George E. Snyder Jr., who both died in the line of duty.
