The FDNY celebrates 150th anniversary of Ladder Company 17

The FDNY marked a historic milestone for Ladder Company 17 on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, celebrating 150 years of service to the Mott Haven neighborhood in the Bronx with members, alumni, family and friends.

Established in 1874 and originally pulled by two horses, Ladder 17 went into service on Jan. 1, 1874. It is the oldest FDNY truck company in the Bronx.
