Danielle DeBellis
Chief of Staff
Danielle DeBellis joined the Department of Finance as chief of staff in January 2023. Danielle helps lead the day-to-day operations of the agency and works closely with the commissioner and first deputy commissioner to achieve DOF’s vision of ensuring fair and equitable implementation of the tax laws with excellent customer service.
Prior to joining the Department of Finance, Danielle worked on the intergovernmental task force for the NYC Office of Management and Budget. In that role, she advocated for and tracked city budget priorities in legislation and other engagements with elected officials across multiple issue areas, including Tax Policy, City Finance, Contracts, and Technology.
Danielle previously served as a human resource administrator for a global public relations firm. She has a Master of Science in Public Policy from The New School and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado.
