Affordable Apartments Available in East New York, Bushwick, Hell’s Kitchen, and Stapleton Heights for households earning between $0 and $183,000
New York, NY – The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) today announced 332 new affordable housing lottery units that are now open to applications on NYC Housing Connect. From the culture-rich streets of Bushwick, to the bustling energy of Hell’s Kitchen, these homes offer hope to New Yorkers in search of affordable housing solutions, featuring a range of studios to spacious 3-bedroom residences. These newly available units are now open for applications on Housing Connect, addressing the pressing need for affordable housing options for New Yorkers.
“Every New Yorker deserves an affordable place to call home, and we are working tirelessly to ensure that this is possible everywhere in New York City,” said HPD Commissioner Adolfo Carrión Jr. “The new developments in Bushwick, East New York, Hell’s Kitchen, and Stapleton Heights will be valuable additions to each of these communities, and we are excited to welcome these new affordable homes!"
NYC Housing Connect serves as New Yorkers' gateway to discovering and applying for affordable rental and homeownership opportunities across the five boroughs. Here’s an overview of the latest housing lottery projects available by borough:
The affordable housing lottery has launched for Euclid Glenmore, an eight-story residential building at 437 Euclid Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Available on Housing Connect are 53 units for residents at 30 to 60 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $24,515 to $105,060. Additionally, the project offers a Senior Preference for the seven 40% AMI One Bedroom units.
This building is being constructed through the Supportive Housing Loan Program of the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development. Euclid Glenmore includes 81 studio apartments set aside as permanent supportive housing with on-site support services to serve the needs of the most vulnerable New Yorkers, including formerly homeless and disabled.
This lottery is expected to close on April 16, 2024.
“The housing shortage in New York City continues to fuel a housing affordability and homelessness crisis, "said Dan Kent, President and CEO of Lantern Organization. “We are eternally grateful to our partners at Mega Development and the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development for working with Lantern Organization to create 135 affordable homes for people most impacted by the housing shortage.”
The affordable housing lottery has also launched for Rheingold Senior Residences, a nine-story residential building at 15 Montieth Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn, exclusively catering to New York’s older adults. Available on Housing Connect are 65 units for residents at 50 percent of the AMI, ranging in eligible income from $0 to $63,550. Amenities include air conditioning, public transportation access, a community center, an elevator, energy-efficient appliances, a rooftop terrace, and a shared laundry room. Additionally, Rheingold Senior Residences has 28 units set aside for formerly homeless New Yorkers.
This building is being constructed through the Supportive Housing Loan Program of the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development. Supportive housing is permanent, affordable housing with on-site support services to serve the needs of the most vulnerable New Yorkers.
This lottery is expected to close on April 15, 2024.

Our organization’s commitment to seniors and their well-being is directly linked to our mission of working on behalf of the most vulnerable in our community. The seniors in this building will live in a beautiful and thoughtful built environment,” said Juan Ramos, Executive Director Southside United HDFC- Los Sures.
312 West 43rd Street Apartments is offering 83 newly constructed units in midtown Manhattan's Hell’s Kitchen. These spacious apartments, conveniently located near restaurants, shops, and steps away from Port Authority and Times Square, feature brand-new high-end finishes and appliances, plenty of closet space, an on-site gym, in-unit washer and dryers, and a beautiful resident lounge. New Yorkers earning 40, 60, and 120 percent of the area median income can apply for the apartments, which range from $934 a month for studios to $3,813 a month for two bedrooms.
This building is being constructed through the Inclusionary Housing Program and is expected to close on April 22, 2024.

The Pearl is offering 131 newly constructed units in Staten Island, close to the ferry, local stores, and restaurants. These spacious apartments feature brand-new finishes and appliances, plenty of closet space, and an array of amenities to enhance residents' quality of life. Eligible residents earning 80% AMI income can apply for units starting at $64,732 for a 1-bedroom unit.
This building is being constructed through the Inclusionary Housing Program and is expected to close on April 22, 2024.
