The Resilient Edgemere Community Land Trust Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) is a step forward in advancing a key goal from the Resilient Edgemere Community Plan (the Plan): to work with local organizations to develop a model for community ownership to facilitate long-term affordability and resilient land stewardship. Through the RFEI, a competitive process, HPD will identify a partner to work with in establishing a community land trust (CLT) on City-owned vacant land in Edgemere.
The RFEI was drafted with community priorities in mind, as expressed at the CLT Information Session held in October 2020 and throughout the Resilient Edgemere Community Planning Process. Also a part of implementing the Plan, HPD is proposing a set of land use actions which will codify a resilient land use strategy and facilitate development, including development under this CLT. These actions are expected to begin public review later this year.
An online pre-submission conference was held on July 28, 2021 at 6pm EST (updated from July 21, 2021) to answer your questions about the RFEI and submission process.
HPD will also be accepting any written questions to the email address below by August 4, 2021 at 4pm, to be included in the RFEI Addendum. If you would like to join the Edgemere CLT Networking List to contact interested respondents, please send an email to the address below.
Submissions are due Septmeber 24, 2021 (updated from September 10, 2021).
