Recruit Class 3 of 2024 Graduates from the Academy


New York City Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Kaz Daughtry and DOC Commissioner Lynelle Maginley-Liddie were all smiles while presiding over a graduation ceremony for 103 new Correction Officers.

 

On March 21, New York City Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Kaz Daughtry and DOC Commissioner Lynelle Maginley-Liddie welcomed 103 new Correction Officers to The Boldest Family. The event at Queens College included a promotion ceremony for one Warden and 13 Deputy Wardens. The special ceremony also featured the swearing-in and appointments of new senior agency leaders. 


The 103 new Department of Correction Officers recited the Oath of Service during the ceremony on March 21


“I am so proud to welcome a new class of dedicated, skilled Officers into our Bold family,” Commissioner Maginley-Liddie said. “The members of service entering or rising in the Department are joining a legacy of outstanding leaders who have promoted safety through supervision and mentorship for 130 years. Every single member of service taking an oath is a force for change for the people in our city, and I thank them for their commitment to our mission.”
