Based in Brooklyn, a Florida beach girl and fun-loving Filipino at heart, Liza Mosquito de Guia has single-handedly filmed and produced hundreds of short documentaries, championing the inspiring lives of hard-working food makers, farmers, fishermen, and chefs who've made it their mission to feed us well.
Liza’s James Beard Award-winning series of 10 years, food. curated. was originally created and filmed as a one-woman operation and has earned countless accolades, including five James Beard nominations, Saveur’s Best Food Videos Award, a Taste Award, a Telly Award for General Television Food & Beverage, a NYC Food Film Festival's Filmmaker of the Year & Bloomberg Made in NY Awards, and a New York Emmy nomination.
She has collaborated with The New York Times, Food & Wine, Serious Eats, Eater, HLN, The Huffington Post, NY1, Schneps Media, NYC Life, and hosted Bravo’s first original digital food series, Going Off the Menu. Many people affectionately call her Skeeter for her middle name!
