Town Calls on the impact of COVID-19 on media, entertainment and nightlife businesses and workers
- MOME held a "Town Call" for Employees, Freelancers and Artists in Film/TV, Music, Theatre, Advertising, Publishing, Digital Content and Nightlife. MOME Commissioner, Anne del Castillo, hosted representatives from NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP), Mayor’s Office of Policy and Planning, and the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA).
- MOME held a "Town Call" for Businesses, Employers and Entrepreneurs in Film/TV, Music, Theatre, Advertising, Publishing, Digital Content and Nightlife. - NYC COVID-19 Citywide Information Portal: Provides the latest updates from The City of New York at NYC.Gov/coronavirus, including guidance and case data from the NYC Health Department; resources and assistance for New Yorkers, businesses and nonprofits; and ways to help, including donation and volunteer opportunities.
- You can also receive updates by calling 311 (212-639-9675 for Video Relay Service, or TTY: 212-504-4115), or texting "COVID" to 692-692and "COVIDESP" to 692-692 for Spanish.
- NYC Media 24/7 COVID Update: The City's broadcast network is now running 24-7 programming and information for the COVID-19 crisis on NYC Gov. NYC Gov is available on Spectrum 74, FiOS 24, Altice 74, RCN 81 and over-the-air broadcast on 25.
- Help Now NYC provides information on opportunities to get assistance and to support those affected by the COVID-19 emergency, including volunteering and donating.
- NYC Well is available 24/7 to connect New Yorkers to a range of free mental health support services. It can be reached online, by calling 1-888-NYC-Well (692-9355) or texting "WELL" to 65173. In addition, it offers a new guide with information on how New Yorkers can gain access mental health services while staying home.
- Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs provides resources for immigrant communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- The Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities launched a webpage for New Yorkers with Disabilities during COVID-19 with information on food supply and delivery, social security / Medicaid benefits, home healthcare services and more.
- NYC Department of Veterans Services offers the most up-to-date information from Federal, State, and City agencies is available through a list of resources to keep NYC veterans informed and prepared during the COVID-19 crisis.
- The New York State website offers updates and resources concerning COVID-19 including information on paid sick leave, testing and more.
- New York State Office of Mental Health offers resources and support for New Yorkers experiencing anxiety about COVID-19.

- Small Business Services provides guidance for NYC Small businesses affected by COVID-19.
- U.S. Small Business Administration offers COVID-19 Small Business Guidance and Loan Resources including:
- SBA Express Bridge Loans: Enable businesses with existing relationships with an SBA Express Lender to borrow as much as $25,000.
- Small Business Debt Relief: SBA will pay the principal, interest, and fees of current 7(a), 504, and microloans for a period of 6 months; and pay the principal, interest, and fees of new 7(a), 504, and microloans issued prior to September 27, 2020.
- Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) provides loans to small businesses with 500 or fewer employees, sole proprietors, self-employed persons, and independent contractors to help cover fixed operating costs for an 8-week period of time, portions of which may be forgiven if the company maintains its payroll. - The COVID-19 Small Business Remote Legal Clinic (the CV-19 Clinic) of the New York City Bar Justice Center's Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project will offer free legal consultations to small business owners to help them understand and act upon options available under the federal government's COVID-19 stimulus package and other opportunities available through federal, state and local programs.
- The NYC Office of the Comptroller has compiled a list of private grants and financial assistance to help small businesses navigate the crisis.

- NYC Financial Empowerment Centers offer free, secure and confidential financial counseling over the phone. You can book an appointment at http://nyc.gov/TalkMoney.
- Human Resources Association provides information about essential benefits, such as Food Assistance and Emergency Rental Assistance.
- GetCoveredNYC helps New Yorkers enroll in health insurance with dedicated specialists who can assist you in your language. Complete the form to receive free health insurance enrollment assistance from a specialist. You can also call 311 or text CoveredNYC (SeguroNYC en Español) to 877877. The deadline for health insurance enrollment has been extended to May 15, 2020.

- Freelancers Union has created a Freelancers Relief Fund. The fund provides financial assistance of up to $1,000 per household to cover lost income and essential expenses not covered by government relief programs, including food/food supplies, utility payments, and cash assistance for income loss.
- Freelancers Union also offers a Member Survey to gauge how COVID-19 has affected workers. MOME will be working with Freelancers Union to review responses from New York City and communicate feedback to City, State and federal government.
- The New York State Department of Labor has updated their unemployment application so New Yorkers can apply for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance without having to apply for traditional unemployment insurance first and get denied. This change is intended to allow for more efficient processing of claims..
