Public Notice

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT in accordance with New York State Public Authorities Law, on June 16, 2017, the New York City Water Board (the Board) will hold a public hearing concerning the implementation of certain water bill affordability credits. The hearing will be held as follows:

The Board will consider implementation of the following water bill credits:

1. Home Water Assistance Program: An expansion of program eligibility to include additional senior property owners.
2. Multi-family Water Assistance Program: A program to provide a credit not to exceed $250 per unit for qualified multi-family affordable housing properties.

The hearing will not be related to the setting of rates for water and sewer usage and will be limited to implementation of the credits described above.

The hearing is open to the public. Anyone may attend or register to speak. Those who wish to testify at the hearing should contact the Board by email: nycwaterboard@dep.nyc.gov, telephone: (718) 595-3594, or mail: New York City Water Board, 59-17 Junction Boulevard, 8th Floor, Flushing, NY 11373, to register no later than 4:00 p.m. on June 15, 2017. Oral testimony will be limited to five (5) minutes duration. A copy of any prepared or written statement may be submitted for the Board’s consideration at the above email or mailing address by 4:00 p.m. on June 15, 2017.
