Procedures for Chairperson Review

Pursuant to Section 68-12 of the TLC Rules, the TLC Chair can review and, as appropriate, adopt, reject, or modify any decision of the Appeals Unit at the Taxi and Limousine Tribunal (“TLT”) at OATH. The process for a respondent to seek Chairperson review is as follows:

1. The respondent must submit to the TLC Chair: (i) a petition stating legal errors by the Appeals Unit, and (ii) a copy of the Appeals Unit decision.
NOTE: In reviewing the Appeals Unit decision, the TLC Chair is bound by the findings of fact in the record.

2. The petition must be sent to the following addresses:

NOTE: The petition must be received by the TLC Chair within 30 days after TLT at OATH serves the Appeals Unit decision on the respondent. Any petition received after the 30-day period will be rejected.
