Broker Enforcement

In July 2019, the Taxi and Limousine Commission, Department of Consumer and Worker Protection and Department of Finance completed a 45-day investigation into broker practices ordered by Mayor Bill de Blasio.  The investigation identified violations of existing rules governing broker conduct and developed a number of regulatory changes to ensure brokers act in the interest of their clients and provide greater transparency during medallion transfers.
