Schedule Your Own Appointment
Use NYC TLC Online Appointment System to schedule an appointment for the following:
- Medallion (Yellow Cab) – Medallion owner transferring thier current vehicle to another vehicle; New Medallion owner certifying their vehicle
- Medallion Bulk is used to submit between 3 - 6 medallion using one appointment for vehicle / plate / Agent / address update
- Driver License Replacement appointments are used if lost, stolen, damaged or after a legal name change. Licensees with an out-of-state driver license can update their TLC Driver license picture
- Changes to a Street Hail Livery / Green Cab permit such as:
- Affiliate / transfer to a Base;
- Change your vehicle;
- New SHL Owner affiliation
Update to scheduling your LIC appointment
Scheduling your Long Island City Facility appointment
Anyone visiting our Long Island City facility for the following transactions are required to make an appointment to be assisted:
- Medallion (Yellow Cab) transactions– transferring your current vehicle to another vehicle; New Medallion owner certifying their vehicle
- Medallion Bulk – Agents or individuals with multiple medallions (between 3 – 6 transactions)
- TLC Driver license replacement – replace your TLC Driver license if lost, stolen, damaged or after a legal name change. Licensees with an out-of-state driver license can update their TLC Driver license picture
- SHL (Green Cab) transactions – change the vehicle, plate and / or base associated with the permit
NOTE: When making an appointment, the telephone number used to make an appointment must match the telephone number on file with TLC. If it does not, your transaction will not be processed.
How to schedule your appointment
Step 1 – Click on the link to our Appointment Scheduling System
Step 2 – Select the Service Type
- Medallion
- Medallion Bulk
- Driver License Replacement
- SHL
Step 3 – Select Date and Time
Step 4 – Contact details – complete all fields; click on agree to terms and conditions;
Step 5 – Click on Create Appointment (must verify images before the appointment)
NOTE: When making an appointment, the telephone number used to make an appointment must match the telephone number on file with TLC. If it does not, your transaction will not be processed.
Information needed when scheduling an appointment:
- Full name:
- Telephone/cell phone number
- Valid email address
- TLC License number (for current licensees).
An appointment confirmation with the date and time of your appointment will be sent to the email address you provided to TLC. Keep this email for your records.
Information to bring (to TLC) on the day of your appointment:
- Your appointment confirmation email. Appointments are not processed without it.
- A completed and signed application.
- All required documents.
Cancellation / Rescheduling of appointments
To reschedule or cancel an appointment, it must be changed at least forty-eight (48) hours before the appointment. To reschedule / change your appointment, you must use the link within the original appointment confirmation email. Click the link in the email and follow the instructions. An email containing the cancellation confirmation / confirming the rescheduled date and time will be sent to your email address.
