documentarNYC
https://growingupnyc.cityofnewyork.us/generationnyc/documentar-nyc/Supported by NYC Service, GenerationNYC and CBK Associates, documentarNYC is a creative and meaningful way for youth to connect across NYC on their experiences right now: whether it’s the pandemic, ongoing civic activism surrounding systemic racism, or anything else that is relevant in their lives in this moment.
This “time capsule of now” gives youth a voice to what is primarily a narrative created by adults, and offers an innovative way to answer the question, “What are youth experiencing, thinking about and feeling?”
We hope you will join us to help spread the word to youth across NYC, and help build out a platform for youth to connect, share, and experience this moment together.
NYC Service is providing weekly adult info sessions about documentarNYC. During this 30-minute session, learn how to bring documentarNYC to youth you work with, of all ages, from 13-22. Find out how easily this can be for youth and adults to lead together, and to extend the opportunity for this experience across the city. Learn about documentarNYC online workshops youth can join.
