City Purchase of Private Property

DCAS oversees the purchase of properties from private owners on behalf of City agencies.

  • If you have received notification in writing that a City agency is interested in purchasing your property for a City use and has filed an application pursuant to the Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP), you may contact the DCAS acquisitions team at (212) 386-0323 for more information.
  • If you have agreed to sell your property to the City, DCAS will have your property appraised. Based on that appraisal value, the City will send you a written offer for the purchase of your property.
