The NYC DOE Summer Enrichment Programs Fair is a part of the College Exploration Month initiative, a citywide effort to raise awareness about the importance of supporting students to identify career interests and learn about the many postsecondary paths to those careers. Students and their families received information about summer activities, enrichment programs, and employment opportunities. Career planning workshops were offered to help prepare students for the real world of work.
The New York City Department of Design and Construction STEAM Initiatives exhibited at the NYC DOE Summer Enrichment Fair at the NY Public Library. Approximately 700-900 students and families attended the event and received information about DDC STEAM’s educational pipeline program; which promotes architecture, engineering, and construction careers from middle school to employment. Students also received information about DDC’s High School Summer Internship Program and College Internship opportunities.
