Local Law 228

Local Law 30 – Language Access Implementation Plans and Reporting
- Local Law 30 requires covered agencies to publish language access implementation plans on their websites.
- Local Law 30 requires MOIA to submit an annual report to the New York City Council by December 15 that includes a list of agencies' language access coordinators, the number of language access complaints agencies receive through 311, and agencies' language access implementation plans, among other information.
Local Law 13 Guidance
- Local Law 13 of 2023 requires NYC to designate “temporary languages” for urgent services to newly arrived individuals. This guidance explains the current designation, outlines agency requirements, and provides best practices for implementation.
Local Law 6 Report
- Local Law 6 requires the administering agency to conduct a survey of CBOs to assess their capacity to provide translation, interpretation, and other related language services.
