LIC has among the highest concentration of art galleries, art institutions and studio space of any neighborhood in New York City. The neighborhood is bounded the Queens neighborhood of Astoria; on by the East River; the Queensboro/Ed Koch Bridge and the Queens Midtown Tunnel
LIC is home to the 108th Police Precinct, LIC Court House, LaGuardia Community College, MoMA PS1, Silvercup Studios, Queens West, Citibank, Gantry State Park and Hunters Point South Park, and the expanding Hunters Point South Community.
