Long Island City

Long Island City is the westernmost residential and commercial neighborhood of the New York City borough of Queens.  LIC is noted for its rapid and ongoing development, its waterfront parks and its thriving arts community.

LIC has among the highest concentration of art galleries, art institutions and studio space of any neighborhood in New York City.  The neighborhood is bounded the Queens neighborhood of Astoria; on by the East River; the Queensboro/Ed Koch Bridge and the Queens Midtown Tunnel

LIC is home to the 108th Police Precinct, LIC Court House, LaGuardia Community College, MoMA PS1, Silvercup Studios, Queens West, Citibank, Gantry State Park and Hunters Point South Park, and the expanding Hunters Point South Community.
