Vision

The Red Hook Coastal Resiliency Project is an integrated coastal protection system that will reduce the risk of coastal flooding, maintain access to the waterfront, and create improved public spaces. Based on the feasibility assessment analysis, the project focuses on two low points that are most vulnerable to coastal storm surging and sea level rising along Beard Street and Atlantic Basin. This approach maximizes coastal flood risk reduction benefits while minimizing negative impacts on the neighborhood.
