Training /Education Advocacy
Training / Education Advocacy Image There are many non-profit agencies which provide training and advocacy to staff and families around educational issues, such as Early Intervention, Special Education, Transitions, Alternatives for Adolescents, and ADHD. To arrange for training for your group or staff, contact the individual listed for scheduling.

Education Advocacy Groups are available to provide assistance to families and students in negotiating with the Department of Education including representation at suspension hearings and meetings. Contact the group directly to inquire regarding services.

The Children's Services Education Unit (CSEU) is also available to provide consultation, technical assistance, and training regarding a range of school issues, including Early Intervention and Special Education. Please contact the CSEU, Donald Lash, at donald.lash@dfa.state.ny.us The CSEU offers a training menu and can adapt its curricula to meet the needs of specific audiences.
