The Queens Hospital Center Breast Service involves surgeons, radiologists, and if necessary, the Queens Cancer Center and the American Cancer Society in the patient's treatment plan. It is a seamless operation without any barriers to access for the patient.
We offer an excellent breast imaging department that incorporates breast screening, sonogram, mammogram and MRI as indicated. Minimally invasive diagnostic biopsies are performed by a radiologist on an ambulatory basis, making it easy for the patient.
A full menu of treatment is available in conjunction with the Queens Cancer Center, including chemotherapy, surgery, medical oncology, hormonal, radiation and other targeted medical therapies. Plastic surgery and reconstruction, psychological and social support are all available locally and in conjunction with the American Cancer Society.
Queens Hospital Center's Breast Service features a highly trained and dedicated staff specializing in diseases and care of the breast. A breast surgeon and radiologist will sit down and review a patient's films together, and a compassionate breast coordinator is on hand to track and navigate patients through what can often be a daunting process.
