- Site Safety License Type to Launch in DOB NOW: Licensing
Starting Wednesday, October 16, 2024, all Site Safety Coordinator, Site Safety Manager, and Construction Superintendent license applications, renewal submissions, card re-issuance requests and changes to information will be processed through DOB NOW: Licensing and will no longer be available in BIS Options.
- Lift Director License Type to Launch in DOB NOW: Licensing Beginning October 16, 2024
Beginning January 1, 2025, any person acting as a Lift Director or performing the duties of a Lift Director must be registered with the Department of Buildings as a Lift Director, or be licensed by DOB as a Master Rigger, or be a Master Rigging Foreman and acting as a Lift Director under the direct and continuing supervision of the Licensed Master Rigger. See NYC Administrative Code § 28-424.2.

- LIC41: Written Exam Application – new fees are $585
Use this form to apply for the written exam for the following license types: Master and Special Electrician, Master Plumber, Master Fire Suppression Piping Contractor, Master Rigger, Master Sign Hanger, High Pressure Boiler Operating Engineer, Oil Burner Equipment Installer, Tower/Climber Crane Rigger, Site Safety Manager, Private Agency Elevator Director/Inspector, and Gas Work Qualification.

LIC42 Practical Exam Application – new fees are $530
Use this form to apply for the practical exam for the following license types: Master and Special Electrician, Master Plumber, Special Rigger, Master Rigger, Special Sign Hanger, Master Sign Hanger, High Pressure Boiler Operating Engineer, Oil Burner Equipment Installer, Tower/Climber Crane Rigger.
