High Risk Construction Analysis
In April 2008, the Department announced an intensive, in-depth review of high-risk construction activities, including crane, hoist, concrete, and excavation operations in response to an increase in construction accidents. From the High-Risk Construction Oversight Study (HRCO), 41 recommendations were developed and implemented to strengthen the safety and oversight of these activities.
