About the Mayor’s Office of Talent and Workforce Development

The Mayor’s Office of Talent and Workforce Development (NYC Talent) aligns the City’s education, career preparedness, and skills training programs and leverages the City’s many resources and investments to position City residents and employers for success. By partnering with public agencies, educational institutions, nonprofits, unions, and industry, NYC Talent builds multiple career pathways for New Yorkers, connects employers with talent, reduces economic inequality, and makes efficient and effective use of public resources.

Mayor Adams’ Executive Order #22 of 2022 (EO 22) provides more detail about NYC Talent and the critical role talent and workforce development plays in building shared prosperity and an inclusive economy.

Community Hiring, which will leverage City procurement to connect jobseekers with opportunities and City vendors with the talent they need, is a key strategy for achieving the goals outlined in EO 22.
