NYC Test & Treat Corps

The NYC Test & Treat Corps, formerly the NYC Test & Trace Corps, is the City’s comprehensive effort to connect all New Yorkers with the critical tools for COVID-19 testing, guidance and treatment. Our mission is to provide New Yorkers convenient, widespread access to free testing, rapid connections to COVID-19 treatment and resources to support those recovering from Long COVID.

How Does the Test & Treat Corps Work?

Test

The Corps operates a testing network of hundreds of city-run testing locations where New Yorkers can get tested at no cost or pick up free at-home tests, including through Test & Treat’s network of approximately 260 walk-up sites at public libraries, cultural institutions and NYC Parks locations.

All city-run sites operate at no-cost to the test seeker and none of them require ID.

Additionally, you can pick-up free at-home test kits at any one of our hundreds of participating distribution sites.

Isolation & Treatment

If you test positive, including using an at-home test, you may be eligible for treatment:

• Speak with your medical provider immediately OR Call 212-COVID19 and select option 9 to be connected to Virtual Expresscare, NYC Health + Hospitals telehealth emergency room.

Long COVID Resources

People with COVID-19 generally recover within weeks of illness, but some people experience ongoing issues as a result of their infection. If you believe you may have Long COVID, we have resources available for you, including Test & Treat's AfterCare program and NYC Health + Hospitals Centers of Excellence:

• Long COVID is a wide range of new, returning, or ongoing health conditions people can experience four or more weeks after contracting COVID-19. Long COVID symptoms vary from person to person and may be present for different lengths of time and can include: fatigue, chest pain, shortness of breath, muscle weakness, anxiety, or depression.
• To be connected with an AfterCare Navigator or an NYC Health + Hospitals Center of Excellence, call 212-COVID19 and select 4.
• You can also use the AfterCare survey to find a list of health and social needs resources specific to you.

Multi-agency Leadership Team

The NYC Test & Treat Corps is led by NYC Health + Hospitals, working with other agencies, including the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the Office of Information Technology and Innovation, the Mayor's Office, the Economic Development Corporation, and more.
