Healthy Homes NYC is a free webinar developed by the Health Department and the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) for NYC HPD-financed projects. It is intended for architects, general contractors and building owners/developers.
The training focuses on healthy building measures that can be implemented during building design, construction and renovation. The primary topic areas covered are: integrated pest management, healthy aging/falls prevention, and healthy building materials.
This training is a pre-requisite to the certification process for meeting the Enterprise Green Communities Criteria for HPD financed projects. It is optional for other HPD Preservation Programs.
A NYC Health Department certificate of completion will be issued after completing the webinar and passing the quiz. The certificate is valid for two years, after which it can be renewed by taking the Climate Ready Buildings training. These certificates are considered interchangeable as long as they are valid (either training has been completed within the last two years).
