The Outreach unit engages with an array of stakeholders, including community organizations and advocates; police oversight agencies; law enforcement, criminal justice and government agencies; civil rights groups; and other outside entities interested in the work of DOI's Office of the Inspector General for the NYPD.
Outreach conducts regular engagement efforts through our attendance at an array of New York City events, such as National Night Out, protest demonstrations and neighborhood gatherings, as well as coordinating meetings with community, civic and government leaders. All of these efforts are central to the OIG-NYPD's mission to build stronger police-community relations and enhance police accountability. You can find some of our latest outreach efforts on Twitter: @DOI_OIGNYPD.
If you are interested in meeting with DOI's OIG-NYPD, or would like to invite the OIG-NYPD to an event, please contact Director of Outreach Claire Fleischer at (212) 806-5200 or at outreach@oignypd.nyc.gov.
