Asylum Seeker Legal Assistance Network (ASLAN) Legal Service Providers

This webpage was last updated on December 20, 2024 and will be updated regularly with information as we expand capacity for resources and services for asylum seekers.

The Asylum Seeker Legal Assistance Network (ASLAN) is a partnership with community based organizations to provide recently arrived immigrant legal services.

Migrants and asylum seekers who have arrived in the U.S. on or after January 1, 2022 may contact the organizations below for immigration legal screenings, consultations, change of address and change of venue assistance, and assistance with immigration applications including but not limited to asylum.

If you have questions about your immigration status, application, or court case, please call the MOIA Immigration Legal Support Hotline at 1 (800) 354-0365 (Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm (9:00 to 18:00) to learn how to get more information.

    • CUNY can accommodate other applicants who speak other languages if they bring an interpreter. Otherwise, they will need a 2-3 week notice in advance so the team can arrange for an interpreter.

  • Please note: Submission does not guarantee registration for an upcoming clinic, as all referrals will go through screening to determine eligibility. We also have a limited number of available appointment slots. Please allow us 24 to 48 hours to contact the applicant and complete the screening process.

Lutheran Social Services of New York

For Pro Se services such as application assistance, community members will be prioritized based on their date of arrival and upcoming application assistance clinics with partner legal service providers. Those on our interest form may be contacted at a future date as capacity permits and application assistance becomes available. For those seeking other types of support, our family support team will connect with individuals as inquiries come in and as capacity permits on a first come first served basis.
