Family Reunification Parole

Family Reunification Parole is a process that allows certain family members of the U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to join them in the United States while they wait for their immigrant visas.

Please note: The program is only for Ecuadorians who are already in the process of receiving a family visa.

Who qualifies for this program?

This program is available to people who are:

  1. a) Outside of the United States,
  2. b) Ecuadorian national OR the spouse or child of an Ecuadorian national, and
  3. c) Have an approved family petition (Form I-130)?

NOTE: You can only participate in this program if you have not received your family visa.

If you have already received your visa, contact your local consulate for additional information.

What documents will I need?

As part of this process, both family members inside and outside of the U.S will need to submit several documents.

Family members inside the U.S. will need to provide financial documents like a copy of their last U.S. federal income tax return, bank statements, and/or a letter from their employer to prove they can take care of their family member.

Family members outside of the U.S. should make sure their passport is valid before they can travel.
