Mayor Eric Adams hosted a gathering at Gracie Mansion to celebrate New Yorkers of Caribbean descent.
The program was emceed by Hazra Ali and began with a dance performance by Lamont Joseph and a singing performance by Johnny Osbourne. Pastor Patrick Perrin; Sylvia Hinds-Radix, New York City's Corporation Counsel; Consul General Of Barbados, Mackie Holder; and Chief Advisor to the Mayor, Chaplain Dr. Ingrid Lewis Martin provided remarks. Certificates were presented to community leaders, Sherwin H. Johnson, Lamont Joseph, and Johnny Osbourne. Lastly, Mayor Adams delivered remarks and ended the program by proclaiming June Caribbean-American Heritage Month with a proclamation. Entertainment was provided by Ricardo Jerome, Sesame Flyers and DJ Suave.
