In honor of Juneteenth, now recognized as a federal holiday, Mayor Eric Adams hosted a gathering at Gracie Mansion to celebrate African Americans across the five boroughs.
The program began with a performance of the Black National Anthem by Nadine P. Simmons followed by welcome remarks from Chief Advisor to the Mayor, Chaplain Dr. Ingrid Lewis Martin. She introduced the Mayor who spoke and concluded the program. DJ Tommy Lee provided background music for the celebration.
