Steinway Pianos and Classical Music Concerts: A Photographic Journey

As part of NeON’s professional development component, graduates of the photography workshops gain practical experience in assisting local businesses achieve their photographic goals. In furtherance of this mission, NeOn has developed a long term partnership with the New York based Steinway Piano Seller Park Avenue Pianos. The first area of collaboration between the two groups was a Steinway Piano commercial photo shoot, which took place at Tribeca’s renowned residential building 56 Leonard Street in June 2018. The task at hand was to create a compelling and alluring core image of a Steinway Grand Piano for the Park Avenue Pianos homepage. Along the way, the NeON participants were able to learn more about Historic Used Steinway Pianos, and the different technical parts of the piano’s structure, including the soundboard, action parts, case finish, and various Steinway decals. In addition to learning more about pianos, and successfully accomplishing the end result of a clean, modern, and attractive Pre-Owned Steinway Piano image for the company’s website, the photographers had an opportunity to soak up the stunning panoramic views of New York City.
