On June 22, 2022, HUD announced a first-of-its-kind funding opportunity that made $322m available for CoCs to address unsheltered and rural homelessness. The NYC CoC application was successful and 10 agencies/organizations received funding to create a total of 12 new projects.
Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO)
On an annual basis, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs announces the availability of funds for supportive services grants under the SSVF Program. This NOFO is competitive, and interested applicants are urged to closely review the SSVF website.

Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI)
ESSHI provides operational funding to providers for the development and operation of supportive housing for persons identified as homeless with special needs, conditions or other life challenges. As part of Governor Cuomo's New York State housing plan, $2.6 billion in operating funds has been committed for 6,000 new permanent supportive housing units and other services over 5 years.
